Mr Stutard contacted me for a quotation on his property in Knaresborough for a patio. Mr Stutard explained that he had decided to have a new conservatory constructed on the back of his property and required a patio area. The area where the conservatory was being constructed was lower than the ground level of the garden.
This involved a lot of excavation of clay and also meant that a retainer wall was required to decide ground levels and a soak-away made.
Once the preparation was finished Mr Stutard decided to use a light colour Indian stone. The retainer walls and steps were constructed using bricks to match the house brickwork. The wall and steps were capped with matching focil mint stone.
A 9ft circle was positioned in the centre of the patio area, the circle helped to break up the patio are and made a nice seated area in the sun.
