Project Info
I had been carrying out garden maintenance for Mr & Mrs Gillet for several years. There had always been a large slope in the back garden which was overgrown with self-seeded trees, brambles and ivy.
Even that there was already steps down to the bottom of the banking, you could not get down the steps or move with a large area at the back of the garden becoming wasted.
What I suggested was that I cleared the banking from all vegetation and that I would produce a simple design. The Design showed railway sleepers being fixed. To retain the roots from the existing hedge. The slope was divided into three levels. The top-level being for a vegetable area, the middle level would be for fruit plants. The bottom level would be for a seated area to watch the cricket over the road at the Ripon cricket club. The area either side of the seated area would be used for planted containers for some colour.
There would also be some room for a small greenhouse. Week control membrane was pegged with fine woodchip applied for low maintenance
